Joseph O. Bull is director of planned giving for The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Previously, Joe was director of Ohio State’s Campaign for Alumni House, director of gift planning and assistant university counsel for North Carolina State University, and assistant director of planned giving for Duke University.

Joe is the Chair of the Board of the National Committee on Planned Giving and is a member of the Central Ohio Planned Giving Council where he co-chaired the Leave a Legacy™ program that became a national model used today in more than 100 markets throughout the United States and Canada. He is a member of the editorial advisory boards for the national newsletter Planned Giving Today and the web-based Planned Giving Design Center and is a faculty member for The Academy of Gift Planning. He is a past president of the Central Ohio and North Carolina Planned Giving Counsels and is a past board member of the American Council on Gift Annuities and Charitable Accord.

Joe holds B.S., M.A. and J.D. degrees from The Ohio State University and is admitted to the Bar in Ohio and North Carolina.
