The South Carolina Planned Giving Council exists to unite the planned giving community in best serving the charitable planning needs of donors and clients. Our goal is to facilitate, coordinate, and encourage the education and training of the planned giving community, and to promote a collaborative effort among members of the legal, financial, and development communities in serving the charitable, financial, and estate planning needs of donors and clients.
Founded in 1993, SCPGC is one of more than 130 local councils of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning (formerly NCPG), which includes approximately 10,000 members nationwide.
The need for expertise in charitable gift planning has become an important consideration for financial and estate planners nationwide. The onset of the largest intergenerational transfer of wealth in history combined with the changing array of tax considerations and financial opportunities have led to phenomenal growth and interest in the field of charitable gift planning.
Attorneys, accountants, development officers, financial advisors and insurance executives can all benefit from SCPGC’s range of services. We invite you to become involved in the community of gift planners, representing a range of professions in and around the State of South Carolina.
